It is enhanced with advanced lipid acid-proof carp soap thickened with deeply refined mineral oil, further improved with antioxidants, anti-rust, and anti-corrosion agents. This formulation boosts adhesion, water resistance, and comprehensive protection against rust and corrosion.
Guided by two prominent international standards, epoxy-coated steel strands stand out: namely ASTM.A882/A882M-02a and IS0 14655:1999 (E). These standards detail two distinct and superior types: epoxy-coated filled strands and epoxy-coated steel strands. The 2002 revision of the ASTM standard emphasizes the crucial importance of epoxy-coated filled steel strands, while it does not recommend plain epoxy-coated steel strands. ISO 14655:1999 (E) closely mirrors ASTMA 882/A882M-96, thus retaining stringent guidelines for epoxy-coated strand products, ensuring unparalleled quality across both types.
Epoxy-coated steel strands are celebrated for their superior corrosion resistance, requiring precise coating thickness and impeccable surface integrity with no pinholes, as rigorously stipulated by both standards.ASTM A 882/A882M-02a requires a coating thickness of 0.38 -1.14mm for epoxy-coated filled strands, while IS0 14655:1999 (E) specifies a thickness of 0.40-0.90mm. For epoxy-coated strands, the mandated thickness is 0.65 -1.15mm.
