Depending on the production methods, they classify into cold-drawn steel wire and stress-relieving steel wire. Moreover, based on surface conditions, they are categorized into plain steel wire, indented steel wire, and spiral rib steel wire. The cold-drawn wire is directly utilized for prestressed concrete, ensuring optimal performance in construction.
Raw Material Requirements
The essential raw materials for prestressed concrete include premium carbon steel wire rods like SWRH77B or SWRH82B. These wire rods must adhere to stringent specifications encompassing size, shape, weight, allowable deviation, grade, and chemical composition. Additional criteria include smelting method, delivery state, mechanical properties, decarbonization layer, microstructure, surface quality, and any special requirements.
Our cooling process is meticulously controlled using the advanced Sterem technology to achieve an over 85% Sotenization rate. This ensures that the coils produced through our standard process fulfill the rigorous production requirements for prestressed concrete steel wire and steel strand.
Standards of Steel Wire for Prestressed Concrete
The current standards are GB/T5223-2014 Prestressed concrete steel wire, according to ASTM A421-16, ASTM A881/A881M-2005, BS5896-2012, EN10138-2:2009, GOST 7348-81, TU U27.3-136-004-2003, DSTU ISO 6934-2, GOST 7348-81, DSTU ISO 6934-2, ABNT NBR 7482:2008, etc.
