ISO 14655:1999 (E) closely mirrors ASTMA 882/A882M-96, thus upholding stringent guidelines for epoxy-coated strand products, ensuring premium quality across both types.
Epoxy-coated steel strands are celebrated for their exceptional corrosion resistance, requiring precise coating thickness and flawless surface integrity, as mandated by both standards.ASTM A 882/A882M-02a prescribes a coating thickness between 0.38 -1.14mm for epoxy-coated filled strands, whereas ISO 14655:1999 (E) specifies a thickness of 0.40-0.90mm. For epoxy-coated strands, the necessary thickness ranges from 0.65 -1.15mm.
