ISO 14655:1999 (E) mirrors ASTMA 882/A882M-96, thereby maintaining rigorous guidelines for epoxy-coated strand products, ensuring superior quality and consistency across both types.
Epoxy-coated steel strands are designed for flawless corrosion resistance, requiring precise coating thickness and pristine surface integrity without pinholes, as mandated by both standards.ASTM A 882/A882M-02a specifies a coating thickness between 0.38 -1.14mm for epoxy-coated filled strands, whereas ISO 14655:1999 (E) mandates a thickness of 0.40-0.90mm.
