It incorporates advanced lipid acid-proof carp soap thickened with deeply refined mineral oil, enriched with antioxidants, anti-rust, and anti-corrosion agents, greatly enhancing adhesion, water resistance, and protection against rust and corrosion.
Two major international standards currently govern epoxy-coated steel strands: ASTM and ISO.A882/A882M-02a and ISO 14655:1999 (E). These standards define two distinct categories: epoxy-coated filled strands and epoxy-coated steel strands. The 2002 revision of the ASTM standard highlights the importance of epoxy-coated filled steel strands, while discouraging the use of plain epoxy-coated steel strands. ISO 14655:1999 (E) parallels ASTMA 882/A882M-96, maintaining rigorous guidelines for epoxy-coated strand products, ensuring exceptional quality in both categories.
Epoxy-coated steel strands are celebrated for their outstanding corrosion resistance, requiring precise coating thickness and flawless surface integrity without pinholes, as dictated by both standards.ASTM A 882/A882M-02a stipulates a coating thickness range of 0.38 -1.14mm for epoxy-coated filled strands, while ISO 14655:1999 (E) specifies 0.40-0.90mm. For epoxy-coated strands, the required thickness is 0.65 -1.15mm.
