Depending on the manufacturing technique, it is classified into cold-drawing steel wire and stress-relieved steel wire. Additionally, based on surface characteristics, it is segmented into plain, indented, and spiral rib steel wire. Cold drawing wire serves as a direct application for prestressed concrete, ensuring high durability and strength.
Raw Material Requirements
The core materials for prestressed concrete are top-grade carbon steel wire rods, specifically SWRH77B or SWRH82B. Essential attributes include precise dimensions, shape, weight, and permissible deviations, along with grade, chemical composition, smelting method, delivery state, mechanical properties, decarbonization layer quality, microstructure, surface integrity, and any special requirements.
Cooling is meticulously controlled by Sterem technology, attaining over 85% Sotenization rate. Standard coils produced through this process comply with the stringent requirements for prestressed concrete steel wire and steel strands.
Standards of Steel Wire for Prestressed Concrete
Current standards followed are GB/T5223-2014. Prestressed concrete steel wire, according to ASTM A421-16, ASTM A881/A881M-2005, BS5896-2012, EN10138-2:2009, GOST 7348-81, TU U27.3-136-004-2003, DSTU ISO 6934-2, GOST 7348-81, DSTU ISO 6934-2, ABNT NBR 7482:2008, etc.
